Quick update: school is hard. It’s midterm week(s) and I’ve been living on campus. I go home, shower, take a nap, and then head back to school. Seriously. It’s horrible. Monday I was on campus for 20 hours…TWENTY! Unfortunately, all of November is going to be like this because we have papers, assignments, quizzes and/or exams every week. SO… if I continue to slack on the blogging, please forgive me.
Anyway, life in London is fabulous. For starters, the
weather here is amazing right now. Yes, it gets a little chilly at night, but I
don’t mind (yet). Not only does it feel amazing, but it looks amazing. All of
the trees are changing colors and the leaves are falling and it’s just
beautiful. Taking a walk through a park (preferably Hyde Park) is one of my
favorite things to do. Plus there are dogs everywhere. Oh, I miss dogs so much
-- specifically my Benny boy. If I could ship him over here right now, I would.
Moving on… it’s already getting dark here super early. The
sun sets around 4:30 or 5, and by 5:30 it’s completely black. It messed with my
head for the first few days, but I’m used to it now. On the other hand, I’m
still not used to the morning rush hour. The tube is a nightmare in the
mornings. I try to take the bus as much as I can, but it doesn’t always work
out that way. First of all, the bus is cheaper than the tube, it’s less
crowded, and it’s more convenient because my stop is only 1 minute away from
uni. But it only comes every 10 minutes, depending on traffic. Whereas the
tube is always on time. It’s faster than the bus and much more consistent with
arrival times, however, the walk from the station to uni blows. It’s less than
15 minutes, but it’s such a crowded area that there are crazy drivers and
people everywhere. Basically, it’s a daily struggle deciding which one to take.
Last weekend, the NFL was in town again. Instead of going to
the game on Sunday, I went down to Regent Street the day before and got a taste
of American Football. The street was filled with booths, trailers, and
thousands of football fans. The Jaguars and Bills were playing, but fans of all
teams came out and enjoyed the festivities. Apparently I had just missed some
of the Jaguar players, but I saw their cheerleaders. I don’t know how they did
it, but they were wearing their little uniforms in 50 degree weather, just
dancing away. More power to them!
This weekend is my favorite holiday, Halloween! My friends
and I are dressing up together… you’ll have to stay tuned to see what we’re
going to be. Our school rented out part of a club, so I’ll be celebrating the
holiday there. Oh, and if I get my studying done on Friday, I have every
intention of going to the NFL game on Sunday. It’s Lions vs. Chiefs. It’s the
last NFL game (in London) of the season. On that note, it’s time to log off
this and open my textbook. Laterbye, friends!

This week has been so, so stressful, so I grabbed lunch to-go and had lunch in this beautiful park across the street from uni.
Seriously?? How can I worry about my problems when I have this to look at.
