Saturday: I was supposed to go to the Chinese Food Festival, but unfortunately the TV company called and said they were stopping by that day. Like other companies, they fail to give you a time, so you just have to sit there and be ready for them. It was very frustrating since it was a gorgeous day! After a few hours, I finally got the lucky phone call that they were on the way. After thirty minutes or so, they were all done setting up the cable. (Yay, I have TV now!) Once they left, I met up with friends and enjoyed a nice night with them!
Sunday: I decided I wanted to go see what the London movie premiere scene was all about. I've seen photos in magazine of big premieres, but honestly did not know what to expect. I arrived to Leicester Square around 3pm to check out The Intern premiere. The actors were supposed to arrive by 6:30. I planned on walking around a little bit, grabbing a bit to eat, and just relaxing until they showed up. Little did I know, there was a huuuuge line of people waiting to do the same thing I was. When I say huge line, I mean about 2,000 people. All in front of me. For some unknown reason, that didn't make me turn around. Instead I waited in line for three hours. Right on cue, the actors started to arrive. First up was the beautiful and talented, Anne Hathaway. I have to admit, even though I was far away from her, I got little butterflies in my stomach. Next up was the writer and director, Nancy Meyers. Then last but not least was the one and only, Robert De Niro. People were going crazy over these three!! I've never seen something like that before, it was nuts! I think I got pushed and shoved in every direction, it was so annoying. But overall, even though I didn't get close enough to meet any of the actors, I loved the experience! It was very, very cool and I definitely want to attend another premiere. Except next time, I will get there a little earlier and pack a little bag of goodies with me!
Monday, Tuesday: I didn't have class so I met up with my teammates from school. The entire class was broken up into groups of five or six students and we were all given the task of creating a presentation that included the team's motto, goals, and vision. Instead of doing the usual PowerPoint, we wanted to be a little more creative and make a video. So we met up at Hyde Park and started filming. I used my GoPro and filmed about four hours worth of footage. We were having too much fun with this assignment! After two days of filming, I started working on the editing process. The video was turning out perfect... but it looked incomplete. So I figured I could film our class the next day and try to use that footage.
Wednesday: On Wednesday we had our simulation... which is a class from 9am to 5pm. It was a very long and exhausting day, but my group still had a really good time. At the beginning of the class, we were given the details on the simulation. Basically, in our groups, we had to create a business and figure out how to make it successful. Every team in the class were competing against each other. At the end of the class, we were all to meet up and compare our companies. Once the clock struck 10, we all separated into our groups and went into study rooms. I figured this was the perfect spot for the video, so I set up my GoPro on the TV and had it running the entire time we were working. It ended up being the perfect footage to complete the project! Now for the simulation, my group didn't do too well. As a matter of fact... we got last. Most companies were earning somewhere between 15 and 20 million in revenue, while my team was 15 million in debt. I know what you're thinking... that's just pathetic. I KNOW! But, in our defense, we were looking into the future rather than the present day. Soooo if it was five years from now, we would be in the lead with 111 million in profit. BUT ANYWAY. None of that was for a grade. It was all about team work and to see how well we work together as a team. And, despite our results, we work really, really well together. I'm really grateful for the team I have!
Thursday: I had one class at 9 am. It was presentation day! To our surprise, the professor said, "Hold the phone on your presentation, let's watch a 30 minute video and then have you present an impromptu second presentation. Muahaha." After that quick turn of events, we presented our video. Everyone in the class loved it. We even had the professor laughing! After class, I met up with some of my girlfriends and we headed down to the mall. The mall here is hugeeee! It's amazing.
Coming up in my life: I have one more class tomorrow and then that completes the "toolbox", which is basically the intro to the first semester. So starting Monday, I have accounting, economics, marketing, and business math until Christmas break... YIKES. Also, tomorrow I am getting my hair done. Which is only worth mentioning because I'm dying it... because I miss my blonde hair! Another exciting thing happening tomorrow is Casino Night!! Hult is renting out a club and turning it into a casino. I could not be any more excited!! We are required to "dress to impress", so stay tuned for some awesome photos! We also have a huge birthday party on Saturday night for one of my classmates. Lastly, the NFL is going international this weekend and they're coming to London! So a few of us are going to cheer on the beautiful Eric Decker and the Jets on Sunday as they play the Dolphins. It's going to be an awesome weekend before school starts on Monday.
Have a lovely weekend, yall!

T'was a beautiful first day of October!
I got home from class today and found this beauty sitting on my porch. It was a care package from Jenny and Shawn, which included some of my favorite Texas foods. I'm pretty sure I was QSing for the next hour! It was so thoughtful and nice. Thank you again, guys!!
