September 26: One Week Down...

I've officially completed my first week of postgrad! I'm not sure how else to describe it than amazing and exhausting. Over the last five days, I've averaged four hours of sleep each night. Each day, I sit in the class room for six hours and then another couple hours outside of class doing group work. Once I get home, I crawl straight into bed. Just kidding -- that's what I want to do! Instead I read and read and read. Each class gives us two to five case studies to read over and prep for the next day. Then once we get to class, which are three hours long each, with a 15 minute break in the middle, we talk about each case. In my class specifically, there are over 25 different nationalities, so when it comes time to discuss the cases, the debate heats up.

On Friday night, Hult hosted an all-program mixer at a local club. It was amazing because there are so many people I haven't seen since classes started! In attendance was: The Dean, some professors, some staff members, EMBA students, MBA students, MIB students, MIF students, and MIM students. It was a lot of fun! Oh, and some of the staff members even made me dance *gulp*.

Today I am meeting up with some classmates and we're going to a Chinese Food Festival, which includes the Chinese food market, celebrity chef demonstrations, Chinese food forums, and Chinese traditional performances.

September 20: T'was the Night Before School Started

As my wonderful mom pointed out to me yesterday, I broke my promise. Turns out blogging hasn’t been on my mind these past few days, but fear not, I’ll catch you up now. Since I last posted… I’ve finished all eight Harry Potter movies, went to the second Hult meet-up, took a boat tour down Thames River with some classmates, had orientation and registration, celebrated Mexico’s Independence Day, explored London's nightlife, and finally, got ready for class.

Tomorrow is the first day of class!! So I spent the day preparing for tomorrow by cleaning house, washing clothes, reading case studies, and filling out my planner. Side note: I have a terrible habit of buying a planner, using it for two weeks, and then never opening it again -- so here’s to breaking that habit! So tomorrow, I only have two classes, but they’re three hours each. I’m extremely nervous, but so incredibly excited to get this journey started!

I’ll update yall throughout the week :-)
