Goodbye London and hello Paris! Mom and I headed over to the train station to catch a Eurostar to Paris. On the way there, we stopped at a storage unit and dropped off 4 out of the 6 suitcases we brought. Here's to living out of ONE suitcase for the next three weeks -- eek! The train station itself was huge and it took us several minutes to figure out where we needed to go. Security only took about ten minutes, so we waited for almost two hours for our train. Once we got on, we both opened up our books to read, but we both ended up asleep. Two hours and forty something minutes later, we arrived in Paris! We get out of the train and realized we didn't have a plan. We didn't even have a hotel booked. We ended up finding one for a good price and headed straight there. The receptionist had just gotten back from holiday (aka vacation) and was in a very good mood, so she ended up upgrading us! It was awesome because the upgrade included complimentary breakfast, tea time, snacks, and wine and beer. After getting a few drinks, we were off to dinner. The concierge had recommended a place called Au Petit Marguery. I was scared to look at the menu since I'm so picky, but I ended up really enjoying what I chose. Actually, we both really enjoyed ours! We got back to the hotel and got ready for bed, but it was SO hot in our room. The AC was on as low as it goes, but that still didn't help. Mom ended up calling downstairs and asking for a floor fan -- which they had! After a while, we got comfortable (ish) and went to bed. Tomorrow we hit the town!

The view from out hotel!
(Side note: if that building on the left was never built in the 90s,
we would be looking at the Eiffel Tower)
