After a mediocre breakfast at our hotel, my mom and I hopped on a double decker bus that was supposed to take us to a stop near my university. We assumed it would take approximately 30 minutes to get there since it takes about two hours on foot... we were wrong. It took over two hours -- I even passed out for a little while. Once we get to our stop, I'm convinced that I know how to read the map. Once again, I was wrong. After walking in circles, we ended up back where we started... that's when we noticed the street sign that we've been looking for... right by the bus stop. After that, we find the university very easily. It's so exciting to finally see it in person! We went inside to take a look around. We were sitting in some chairs when this woman walked up to us and introduced herself -- it was The Dean (!!!) *cue sweaty hands* She was very, very sweet. I was really glad we had the chance to meet her right then. After chatting with her for about ten minutes, we left Hult and continued walking around the area. There are so many cute little cafes that I can picture myself studying at. Anyway, we decide it's time to open a banking account and to switch my phone to a UK carrier. Being the stubborn person I am, I make it clear that I knew where I was going -- because in my head, how hard is to read a map? Well, I don't know what it is about London maps, but I do not know how to read them. Damn you, London maps. We kept walking up and down the same street over and over again. My mom being the trooper she is, didn't complain once *S/O to Momma Wyatt -- you da real MVP*! We're finally back on the bus and we head towards Tower Bridge -- aka what a lot of people think London Bridge is. We snapped so many photos, because it really was SO pretty. Not just on the river, but everywhere! It's now 8pm and we're headed back to our stop, when I'm about to pass out due to starvation. I'm not sure why, but my mom thinks it's cute to starve me. Seriously.... we didn't eat anything since 10am! As soon as we get to our stop, we hop off and search for a restaurant. We ended up at this place called Arcadia and, holy moly, it was fan-freaking-tastic! I didn't think anything could beat brunch from yesterday, but this place definitely did. So yummy! After eating every last bite, we walked it off and headed back to the hotel. Instead of going straight to bed, I got to FaceTime a few people (Sorry, Shawn -- love you, mean it). After chatting for about 30 minutes, mom and I hit the hay, because tomorrow we go apartment hunting!!
