So apparently my body forgot how to wake up, because I slept for almost 11 hours last night. I'm definitely not complaining though... I needed it! Once I finally got my life together, my mom and I booked our flight to London and found a hotel near my campus. We didn't have time to grab breakfast, mostly because I slept through it, but also because traffic was terrible and we didn't want to be late for the flight. We boarded our flight, and thanks to me, our seats were in the very last row... right beside the bathrooms. If that wasn't smelly enough, a 20 something year old guy sat right in front of us and apparently he has never heard of deodorant because homeboy smelt so bad! My mom, being the dramatic person that she is, not only covered her face with her scarf, but would start to fake cough. I couldn't help but laugh. Once we landed in London, we hailed a taxi, and headed to the hotel. After sitting in traffic for over thirty minutes, we learned that it's not normally like that, but starting today, the tube workers went on strike. Apparently the government is trying to make the tube a 24 hour thing, and the workers aren't about that life. So they went on a planned strike that started today at 6pm and won't end until sometime on Friday. So that's going to be fun trying to get around town :-| Anyway, we got to our hotel around 7pm, checked-in and ate dinner downstairs at their steakhouse. It was pretty good! After dinner, we went up to our room and settled in. Tomorrow we hit the town!
P.s. Apparently, I say apparently a lot. Sorry.
Found a Dr. Pepper!
