August 17: Mount Titlis

Monday morning we jumped on a tour bus and headed up to Mount Titlis. It took an hour to get to the mountains, and then another 45 minutes to get up to the top via cable car. Unfortunately, we chose a very cloudy day, so once we got to the top, we couldn't see much. Actually we couldn't see anything at all, but whatever, we made the best of it. We weren't anticipating snow, so we were surprised to see the top of the mountain covered in snow. We walked along a shaky bridge, jumped on a ski lift, sledded down a hill, and walked through a glacier cave. Overall, it was really fun! Plus, the view going back down the mountain, once we got below the clouds, was breathtaking! We had a one hour pitstop at the bottom of the mountain, where we got to explore Lucerne a little bit. We took some photos of Chapel Bridge, then enjoyed some ice cream before loading back on the bus. Once we returned to Zurich, we waited at the train station for our 9:40 departure to Vienna!

 I can sleep anywhere, okay?

 Headed up the mountain!
*I'm obsessed with this photo*

It's kind of creepy not being able to see what's on the other side

I video taped us going down the hill :-)

Leggings and vans are not what you want to wear when you go sledding
